Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapy for communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders
• Collaborate with nurses, PT/OT, and family members to ensure coordinated patient care
• Document progress and outcomes accurately and timely in the patient record
• Train and educate caregivers and staff on communication strategies and dysphagia management
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Massachusetts license or eligibility to obtain state SLP license
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience evaluating and treating adult rehabilitation and post-acute populations preferred
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with facility protocols
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and management
• Skilled in AAC strategies and cognitive-communication interventions
• Strong interpersonal and counseling skills for patients and families
• Excellent documentation and electronic medical record experience
• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
