Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and daily living assistance to residents
- Administer medications and follow established care plans accurately
- Perform assessments and monitor patient conditions, reporting changes promptly
- Deliver wound care, dressing changes, and basic clinical procedures as needed
- Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals
- Educate residents and families with clear, respectful communication
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Comfortable with medication administration and basic clinical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, plus a caring attitude
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet health requirements
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Wound care fundamentals and infection control procedures
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Time management, prioritization, and clear patient communication
