Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care for trauma, burn, and surgical ICU patients
• Perform advanced bedside care including wound care and management of EVDs
• Respond quickly and competently to codes and participate in MTP activations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
• Monitor complex critical care equipment and titrate therapies safely
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR to support clinical and regulatory needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (trauma, burn, or surgical ICU experience required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred and helpful for faster onboarding
• Required certification: RN; BSN preferred
• Preferred certifications or backgrounds: CCRN, MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU experience
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-based ICU environment and willingness to float as needed

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in wound care and management of complex traumatic injuries
• Familiarity with EVD management, Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP), and code response
• Experience with critical care equipment used in trauma and burn ICUs
• Ability to manage 2:1 patient ratios in ICU settings and adapt when census changes
