Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift, day-type)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Promote dignity and independence through respectful, person-centered interactions
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Participate in care planning and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Document care accurately and timely to support continuity and quality of care
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification in good standing
- Valid state-required certifications and ability to work in Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable assisting with personal care, mobility, and ADLs for older adults
- Able to pass background check, TB screening, and any required health checks
- Friendly, patient, and team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and best practices
- Skill in safe resident transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
- Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
