Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and toileting in a respectful manner
- Take and accurately document vital signs and patient observations
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff and document thoroughly
- Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility policies
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through empathy and reliability
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-recognized)
- Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift as a per diem team member
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and basic clinical tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on compassionate care
- Ability to pass required background check and any facility screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic nursing care and ADL assistance
- Taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Clear, professional documentation and communication
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to work well in a team
