Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in the NICU — every intervention matters
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions in line with NRP guidelines
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, acting quickly on changes
- Administer medications and manage neonatal pharmacology safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Document patient status, interventions and progress thoroughly in the medical record
- Educate and support families through the NICU journey with compassion and clarity
- Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and competency assessments
Qualifications
- Current RN license appropriate for practice (must be verifiable via Nursys or equivalent)
- Recent Neonatal ICU (NICU) experience required; acute, in-hospital experience preferred
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- DCI/BVP certification listed as required in credentialing
- Willingness to complete required screenings and compliance items (drug screen, TB test, immunizations, fit test)
- Comfort with night shift practice and the ability to function effectively in high-acuity settings
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of neonatal physiology and NICU best practices
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and basic arrhythmia recognition
- Neonatal pharmacology and safe medication administration
- Familiarity with ventilator support and common neonatal respiratory modalities
- Skilled in bedside assessment, IV/line management and neonatal monitoring equipment
- Excellent communication and family-centered care skills
- Ability to pass Prime competency exams and specialty skills checklists
