Shift Type: Friday-Monday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (day), 9-10 hour days
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting and develop individualized care plans that drive measurable recovery
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions across orthopedics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary populations
- Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with PTAs, OTs, speech therapists, and rehab techs to ensure seamless patient progress
- Document clinical findings and progress thoroughly and efficiently using Cerner PowerChart
- Use patient lifting equipment and safe mobility techniques to protect patients and teammates
- Communicate evaluation results and plan goals clearly to patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to promote successful discharge
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (required)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy (required)
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience (acute care experience preferred; at least 1 year acute preferred)
- BLS certification (required)
- Comfortable with acute care procedures and a variety of patient diagnoses including ortho, neuro, and cardiopulmonary
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in physical therapy evaluation and care plan development
- Strong therapeutic technique repertoire for inpatient rehabilitation
- Experience with Cerner PowerChart documentation
- Familiarity with patient lifting equipment such as SARA+ and Stedy
- Ability to supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary therapeutic care
- Good clinical judgment for acuity-based decision making
