Shift Type: Rotating schedule including every other weekend, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM (12-hour evening/night shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the ED
- Assess, triage and prioritize patients rapidly and accurately in a high-volume setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, techs and unit clerks to deliver seamless care
- Coach and give real-time feedback to support team development and patient safety
- Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently using Cerner
- Operate and monitor cardiac equipment and infusion devices such as GE monitors and Baxter pumps
- Maintain patient experience standards—use AIDET, keep boards updated, and communicate with patients throughout their visit
- Adhere to unit-specific policies and promote a respectful, inclusive environment for a multicultural community
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department
- 2 years’ experience preferred in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or a high-volume ED (>100,000 visits)
- Certifications required before start or on hire: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide feedback in real time
- Comfortable floating to all sections within the Emergency Department
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency nursing and triage skills
- Trauma and stroke recognition and management experience
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation
- Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps and GE cardiac monitors
- Exceptional communication and patient-experience focus (AIDET)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume ED and adapt to changing priorities
- Clinical leadership and the ability to mentor peers on the floor
