Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and assistance with activities of daily living for geriatric residents
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and fall-prevention measures
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
- Support mealtime, toileting, hygiene, and comfort needs with dignity and respect
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar role preferred
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required health clearances
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the assigned night shifts
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers, and mobility support
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to observe, document, and communicate resident changes clearly
- Good time management and organization during busy shift periods
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with older adults
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn from nursing staff
