Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and life support interventions for neonatal, pediatric and adult patients
• Operate and manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment with attention to safety and best practices
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and pediatric airway management when needed
• Assess patient respiratory status, develop and implement treatment plans, and adjust therapies based on clinical response
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate care
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Participate in competency testing and skills validation to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapy license or ability to obtain state licensure (license verification required)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist where applicable
• Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen, fit test, and color vision testing
• Up-to-date immunizations and screenings: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, and 2-step PPD or IGRA
• Current physical/health statement as required by the facility

Education

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent
• Additional advanced training or certifications preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory care protocols
• Skilled in neonatal and pediatric resuscitation techniques
• Excellent patient assessment, critical thinking and emergency response skills
• Proficient with respiratory equipment setup, troubleshooting and maintenance
• Good documentation practices and ability to communicate clearly with the care team
• Infection control and patient safety best practices
