Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing for adult CVICU patients, managing complex post-op and cardiac cases
• Monitor hemodynamics and manage Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, and central lines with precision
• Manage ventilators and provide advanced ventilator support and troubleshooting
• Perform and manage chest tube care and drainage
• Administer and monitor CRRT and Impella support when indicated
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and changes in patient condition, providing skilled interventions

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience in adult ICU settings (explicit requirement)
• Demonstrated ventilator, arterial/central line, and chest tube management skills
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and Swan Ganz catheter use
• CRRT and Impella experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN are preferred credentials
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and providing weekend coverage as scheduled
