Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric patients, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and dignified environment for residents
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning while using safe body mechanics
- Support mealtime assistance and document intake accurately
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) or equivalent credential as required by the facility
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working with older adults and those with cognitive or mobility challenges
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics experience is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
- Ability to safely assist with transfers, ambulation, and use of assistive devices
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and patience with elderly residents
- Basic understanding of nutrition, hydration, and special dietary needs
- Ability to follow care plans and adapt to changing patient needs
