Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility needs
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Document care activities and observations in a timely, professional manner
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team
- Follow infection control policies and maintain a safe, clean environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Comfortable working per diem schedule and adapting to variable shifts
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (if you have it, great; if not, ask about assistance)
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient hygiene
- Comfortable taking vital signs and observing changes in condition
- Good documentation and time-management habits
- Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
