Shift Type: Per Diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening / Swing shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful hands-on care to geriatric residents, helping them feel safe and valued
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding)
- Support mobility and transfers while following safe lifting and transfer protocols
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Document care provided and resident observations accurately and timely
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents
- Engage residents in social interaction and meaningful activities to support quality of life
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) — you must be certified to work in this role
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
- Ability to pass state-required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient, compassionate attitude
- Ability to safely perform resident transfers and follow infection control practices
- Previous experience in geriatric care or long-term care is a plus but enthusiastic learners welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and elder-focused needs
- Fundamental nursing assistant skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, resident observation
- Infection prevention, safe patient handling, and fall prevention practices
- Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic or paper charting
- Teamwork, reliability, and the ability to communicate clearly with residents and staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
