Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift, per-diem schedule; specific days vary)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful care to geriatric residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with patience and professionalism
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support mobility and fall prevention efforts, using safe transfer techniques
- Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members about resident needs
- Document care and observations in the patient record thoroughly and on time
- Participate in maintaining a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control protocols
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required)
- Valid state GNA/Geriatric Nursing Assistant credentials or eligibility to obtain them
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and TB testing per facility policy
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working overnight shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited GNA/Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in ADLs and basic bedside care for older adults
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
- Basic charting and documentation skills (electronic charting experience a plus)
- Teamwork mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced care setting
