Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, preserving dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to nursing leadership
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention through attentive assistance
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
- Accurately complete care notes and charting to ensure continuity of care
- Help create a warm, home-like environment that promotes resident wellbeing
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification (required or obtain upon hire depending on facility policy)
- Prior experience with geriatric or long-term care populations preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Reliable transportation for per diem shift coverage
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and respectful bedside manner
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
- Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
- Infection control and hand hygiene practices
- Comfortable with electronic charting basics or paper documentation
- Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
