Shift Type: Per diem, as-needed (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM day shift

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support meal times and ensure nutritional needs are met
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and follow established care plans
- Foster a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident wellbeing
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland or state-appropriate certification
- Previous experience working with older adults is preferred but new grads with strong training are welcome
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete required health screenings
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and infection control
- Skillful in safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced long-term care setting
