Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility with dignity and patience
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care tailored to each resident's needs
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and thoroughly to support continuity and safety
- Help create a warm, home-like environment that supports resident independence
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans and improve outcomes
Qualifications
- GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent required
- Current CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required health screenings and background checks
- Comfortable working with older adults and a passion for long-term care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with residents and families
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic resident care and safety practices
- Ability to assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
- Familiarity with infection control and hand hygiene best practices
- Basic documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow directions from nursing staff
