Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and report changes to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support care plans
- Document care accurately and timely in facility records
Qualifications
- GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on facility)
- Previous experience caring for older adults or in a long-term care setting is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to follow care plans and facility policies
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic clinical skills such as taking vital signs and observing for changes
- Accurate documentation and charting habits
- Infection control and hygiene best practices
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
