Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality stepdown and telemetry nursing care for adult patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and quickly recognize changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Train and mentor current unit staff to elevate clinical skills and confidence
• Float to Med/Surg Tele as needed to support staffing and patient needs
• Respond to on-call situations promptly and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and providers to ensure seamless transitions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Arizona)
• Proven experience in stepdown/telemetry or med/surg telemetry nursing — we are seeking experienced nurses
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and participating in on-call rotation
• Willingness and ability to train current staff and float to Med/Surg Tele when needed
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Solid skills in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and critical thinking
• Experience with med/surg tele patient care and stepdown unit workflows
• Ability to teach and mentor nursing staff in clinical best practices
• Effective documentation and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
• Adaptability to float between stepdown and med/surg tele as unit needs change
