Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative care in the operating room for orthopedic and neurosurgical cases
• Prepare the OR and surgical instruments, ensuring sterile technique and case readiness
• Assist surgical teams during procedures, anticipating needs and maintaining patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to deliver seamless care
• Manage on-call responsibilities professionally during scheduled weekends and weeknights
• Document intraoperative events clearly and communicate postoperative instructions to the team
• Participate in performance and quality initiatives in line with Regional West expectations

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• OR experience required
• Orthopedic OR experience required, Level 1 or Level 2
• Neurosurgery OR experience required, Level 1 or Level 2
• Comfortable with weekend and weekday on-call rotations as described in the schedule
• Available for the contract period starting 2026-02-03 through 2026-05-05
• Able to meet Regional West low, mid, or high performer expectations for contract travelers

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong familiarity with operating room workflows and sterile technique
• Experience with orthopedic and neurosurgical instrumentation and case setups
• Excellent intraoperative patient monitoring and situational awareness
• Clear, calm communication with surgical teams and perioperative staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Dependable on-call responsiveness and professional judgment
