Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor progressive care patients with thoughtful, timely clinical judgment
• Administer medications and therapies accurately while documenting interventions
• Interpret telemetry and vital sign trends to detect early deterioration
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support services
• Provide compassionate education and emotional support to patients and families
• Respond to acute events and assist with rapid interventions and transfers
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-issued or nursing compact as applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience (PCU / progressive care experience preferred)
• Experience working with telemetry and higher-acuity medical-surgical patients
• Current basic life support / CPR knowledge and facility-required certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and pump programming
• Excellent bedside assessment and clinical decision-making
• Clear communication and teamwork in high-paced settings
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and order management
