Shift Type: Days vary (per-diem/variable), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting with dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
- Support safe transfers and mobility assistance using proper techniques
- Follow individualized care plans and document care accurately and timely
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control policies
- Communicate clearly with the care team and families to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics a plus but not always required
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, observing changes in condition, charting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with residents
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
- Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
