Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) to promote resident dignity
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the clinical team promptly
• Assist with safe and respectful transfers and mobility support
• Support mealtime needs and observe dietary instructions with attention to residents’ preferences
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow facility charting procedures
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and coworkers
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a calm, comforting environment for older adults

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• Valid state CNA/GNA registry status as applicable
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working night shifts and providing hands-on care for geriatric residents
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
• Skilled in safe resident transfers and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of infection prevention and basic wound observation
• Good observational skills for reporting behavior or health changes
• Basic charting and documentation abilities
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
