Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, triage and stabilize emergency patients quickly and safely
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage advanced cardiac care as needed
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document care in Cerner accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, techs and unit clerks to coordinate high-volume ED care
- Deliver trauma and stroke care in a fast-paced Level 2 trauma / comprehensive stroke center
- Coach and give real-time feedback to colleagues to support continuous improvement
- Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Champion excellent patient experience practices (AIDET, respectful communication, frequent updates)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department
- Experience in a high-volume ED, Level 2 trauma center, or comprehensive stroke center strongly preferred
- Current RN licensure appropriate for practice (state or compact as applicable)
- ACLS, BLS and PALS required before start date
- TNCC, CPI and NIHSS required before start date; ENPC to be completed within 90 days of hire
- Comfortable working all areas of the ED and open to floating within the department
- Teamwork mentality with ability to coach and deliver constructive feedback

- Emergency nursing and triage best practices
- Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Trauma and stroke assessment and interventions
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
- Experience with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors
- Excellent communication, teamwork and patient experience focus
