Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Support mealtime needs and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Document care and observations accurately and timely in resident records
- Collaborate with the care team to maintain a safe, clean and respectful environment
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant)
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with resident care and activities of daily living
- Basic clinical observation and reporting skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow care plans and facility policies
- Safe transfer and lifting techniques
