Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for orthopedic and med/tele patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate excellent patient care
• Float across inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units as needed, adapting quickly to different team environments
• Educate patients and families on post-op care, mobility, and discharge planning to support recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech EMR and uphold unit policies and standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license or compact where applicable)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience (strong Telemetry experience required — 2 years preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Chemo Certification is a plus (would qualify you for Oncology shifts)
• Ability and willingness to float across units and adapt to changing assignments
• Comfortable using Meditech or similar EMR systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessment skills
• Post-operative orthopedic nursing knowledge and safe mobility practices
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR and accurate clinical documentation
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in a fast-paced inpatient setting
• Familiarity with unit patient ratios and working within a collaborative float pool
