Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour nights). Specific days vary by unit; schedule will be provided by the hiring team.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for orthopedic and med/tele patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following hospital protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate excellent patient care
- Float across inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units as needed, adapting quickly to different team environments
- Educate patients and families on post-op care, mobility, and discharge planning to support recovery
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech EMR and uphold unit policies and standards
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license or compact where applicable)
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience (strong Telemetry experience required — 2 years preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Chemo Certification is a plus (would qualify you for Oncology shifts)
- Ability and willingness to float across units and adapt to changing assignments
- Comfortable using Meditech or similar EMR systems
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessment skills
- Post-operative orthopedic nursing knowledge and safe mobility practices
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR and accurate clinical documentation
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
- Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Familiarity with unit patient ratios and working within a collaborative float pool
