Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic sonography exams across abdominal, OB/GYN, neonatal/pediatric, superficial structures, and vascular studies
• Conduct ultrasound-guided procedures including aspirations, biopsies, drainage and intraoperative scanning with precision and care
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as Canon i700 and manage images in Fuji Synapse PACS
• Document findings and exam details accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate clinically relevant results to the care team
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient care — from neonates to geriatrics — ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly when needed to support urgent imaging needs
• Float to other units/departments as required, bringing adaptability and teamwork to varied clinical settings
• Contribute to quality assurance, infection control, and departmental process improvements

Qualifications

• ARDMS (AB), ARDMS (OB), and ARDMS (RVT) required — show us your credentials
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting working as a diagnostic sonographer
• Proficiency with abdominal, OB/GYN, neonatal/pediatric, superficial structure and vascular ultrasound
• Experience with Canon i700 (or similar equipment), Fuji Synapse PACS and Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to perform ultrasound-guided procedures (aspirations, biopsies, drainage, intraoperative)
• Strong communication skills and comfort working as part of multidisciplinary care teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic sonography across abdomen, OB/GYN, neonatal/pediatric and vascular specialties
• Vascular duplex studies (carotid, upper/lower extremity venous and arterial duplex) and segmental pressure testing
• Ultrasound-guided interventions including aspirations, biopsies and drainage procedures
• Comfortable with PACS workflow (Fuji Synapse) and Meditech EMR documentation
• Patient-centered care, infection control practices, and acute-care protocols
• Adaptability to float between units and manage on-call responsibilities
