Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat an orthopedic-heavy caseload (approximately 12 patients/day) with evidence-based OT interventions
• Provide skilled care across acute inpatient, acute rehab, transitional care and outpatient orthopedic settings
• Deliver focused upper-extremity care: hands, elbows and shoulders evaluation and treatment
• Document thoroughly and efficiently using ReDoc and MEDITECH to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with the rehab team, nursing staff and aides to coordinate patient-centered treatment plans
• Supervise and work alongside rehab aides to optimize patient throughput and safety
• Participate in department-specific orientation and contribute to a positive, professional clinic culture

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Occupational Therapy license (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum ~2 years of OT experience (preferably orthopedic and acute care experience)
• Proficiency with MEDITECH and ReDoc documentation systems
• Comfort managing a caseload of ~12 patients/day in fast-paced acute and outpatient ortho settings
• Strong assessment/treatment skills for upper-extremity conditions (hands, elbows, shoulders)
• Lymphedema training is a plus but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of orthopedic diagnoses and postoperative rehab
• Experience in acute inpatient and acute rehab care pathways
• Skilled in upper-extremity evaluation and therapeutic interventions
• Efficient clinical documentation practices using ReDoc and MEDITECH
• Time management and caseload prioritization for high-throughput environments
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient education skills
