Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care in the ICU, ensuring patient safety and dignity
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Manage critical care equipment including ventilators and infusion pumps with precision
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations

Qualifications

• Current RN license (California) required
• ICU experience required — comfortable in a high-acuity setting
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Current immunizations and compliance with facility credentialing
• Strong critical thinking, assessment skills, and ability to prioritize in emergencies

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in critical care monitoring and assessment
• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic support
• Skilled at medication administration and titration in ICU settings
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care thoroughly
