Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, timely bedside care to patients during the night shift
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any significant changes
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning while following facility protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with nursing staff
• Adhere to infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe environment
• Participate in shift handoffs to promote continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of California
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain promptly
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with basic patient care and ADLs
• Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe handling techniques
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Ability to prioritize tasks during busy night shifts
• Calm, observant, and compassionate approach to patient needs
