Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients to implement individualized rehabilitation programs
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries using the EMR
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Communicate with physicians, co-workers, and front office staff to coordinate care
• Ensure accurate patient charting and follow up on prescriptions, authorizations, and test results
• Provide safe patient handling, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Follow HIPAA and OSHA policies to protect patient privacy and workplace safety
• Participate in marketing and referral development to grow the clinic’s footprint

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Active or pending licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state you will work
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records for documentation and billing
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and PT billing practices (Medicare, workers’ comp, private, auto, liens, cash pay)
• Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA compliance
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and provide safe patient transfers and support
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with physicians, staff, and patients
• Comfort supervising PT Assistants and Aides and making independent clinical decisions

Education

• Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• Continuing education courses (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and evaluation

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation
• ICD-10 coding for physical therapy billing
• Patient handling and transfers with safety techniques
