Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills and independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document clinical progress and update treatment plans according to regulations
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies and therapeutic exercises
• Monitor outcomes and adjust interventions to maximize patient progress

Qualifications

• Valid California Occupational Therapy license (required for practice in-state)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience providing occupational therapy in clinic, home health, or rehab settings preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and clinical teams

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/BA in related field plus accredited OT program, MS/OTD preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADL) retraining and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, splinting, and orthotic/device usage
• Proficient documentation practices and outcome measurement
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams and communicating treatment goals
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers in clear, actionable ways
