Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following department protocols and applicable regulatory standards (HFAP, TJC, CMS, state and federal rules).
• Deliver compassionate patient care and clear communication to ensure a positive imaging experience.
• Process and transmit high-quality images to PACS promptly and accurately for provider review.
• Participate in performance improvement (PI) and quality control (QC) activities to keep imaging quality top-notch.
• Serve as a key front-line interface with patients and clinical teams, addressing imaging needs efficiently.
• Maintain accurate documentation, complete required competency exams and specialty checklists, and ensure license/certification verification is up to date.

Qualifications

• Valid Radiologic Technologist license/certification as required by state and facility
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification listed as part of required credentials
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as required
• Ability to pass background checks, Prime drug screen (minimum 10-panel), fit testing, and required immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, TB, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap)

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic Radiography and Image Processing expertise
• PACS operation and efficient image transmission
• Quality Control and Quality Improvement practices in imaging
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (CMS, TJC, HFAP) and local facility policies
• Strong patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and reliable documentation practices
