Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients within scope of CNA practice
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Document patient interactions and care accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Assist in maintaining infection control standards and proper PPE use
• Respond calmly and professionally during overnight events and urgent needs

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state-issued) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required per facility
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and ADL support
• Competent in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Comfortable with bedside documentation and paper or electronic charting
• Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans and nursing direction
