Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and care for adult and pediatric medical-surgical patients with compassion and attention to detail
• Apply and monitor telemetry and ensure accurate cardiac strip application and handoff
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team — communicate clearly with physicians, RT, and support staff
• Troubleshoot CPAP/BiPAP in coordination with Respiratory Therapy as needed
• Provide and document patient care in MEDITECH, maintaining clear and accurate charts
• Serve as a reliable team member who asks questions when unsure and supports peers during busy shifts
• Float to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed and step into charge roles when required

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active and in good standing
• BLS and PALS certifications (required)
• Minimum: 1 year of relevant nursing experience (per job posting)
• Comfortable with MedSurg and Pediatrics patient populations; telemetry experience preferred
• Ability to pass required fit testing (no facial hair that interferes with respirator fit) and comply with facility PPE policies
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills

Education

• BSN not required (posting indicates BSN Required: No)
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (diploma/ADN/BSN) is expected

Knowledge & Skills

• MedSurg and Pediatrics clinical knowledge
• Telemetry application and monitoring
• MEDITECH charting system familiarity
• CPAP/BiPAP troubleshooting basics
• Fit testing processes and PPE compliance
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit nursing team
