Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-specific patient care using the Nursing Process to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes
• Monitor telemetry and promptly recognize and escalate cardiac and clinical changes
• Lead and delegate tasks to support staff while maintaining overall accountability for patient care
• Maintain regulatory compliance with state and federal laws and facility policies
• Deliver compassionate patient and family education tailored to individual needs
• Participate actively in clinical orientation and unit teamwork to ensure continuity of care
• Keep certifications current and complete required trainings prior to your start date

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact as applicable)
• Clinical experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry settings
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required prior to contract start
• PALS or ENPC certification required prior to contract start
• De-escalation training required (active before start or a booked course at clinical orientation)
• Strong leadership, delegation, and documentation skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in the Nursing Process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Direct patient care skills across age-specific populations
• Regulatory and standards-based practice awareness
• Clinical leadership and effective delegation
• Patient/family communication and de-escalation techniques
