Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support patient mobility and transfers with safe body mechanics and dignity
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting while promoting independence
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Offer emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Valid BLS/CPR certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
• Ability to work the specified Mon/Wed/Sat daytime schedule
• Comfort with 13-hour day shifts and stamina for active patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Pass background checks and any facility-required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, bathing, grooming, and toileting assistance
• Proficient in obtaining and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Basic charting and electronic documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with clinical staff
