Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and advanced X-ray/fluoroscopy procedures with precision and care
• Position patients safely and use imaging protocols to ensure diagnostic-quality images
• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, C-arm equipment, and related devices per manufacturer guidance
• Assist radiologists with routine and interventional CT procedures when needed
• Demonstrate safe and proficient IV placement and administer contrast appropriately
• Evaluate images for technical quality, label and transmit studies to the image archival system
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR and document procedures and supplies
• Adhere to radiation safety practices (ALARA) and infection control standards
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers for repairs
• Support clinic operations with clerical duties, patient transport, inventory management, and cross-training duties

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI credentials preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a practicing CT Technologist preferred
• Experience with PACS, RIS/HIS, and electronic health records strongly preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if position requires driving) and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must successfully pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and any required breath alcohol test

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology, CT and MRI credentials preferred
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 90 days

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in patient positioning and image acquisition for CT, X-ray, and fluoroscopy
• Proficiency with power injector operation and contrast administration
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS/HIS, and EHR systems for image and record management
• Strong commitment to radiation safety principles (ALARA) and infection control
• Skill in IV placement and safe handling of contrast media
• Ability to trouble-shoot imaging equipment and coordinate repairs
• Excellent patient education and communication skills to explain procedures clearly
• Competence in supply inventory management and basic clerical responsibilities
• Cross-training capability in MRI, DEXA, and mammography is a plus
