Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a 13-bed medical-surgical unit
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized nursing plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately for med-surg patients
• Monitor patient status, escalate changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
• Document care and clinical outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote positive outcomes
• Maintain a 1:5 patient ratio with focused attention to detail and safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or eligible via Nurse Licensure Compact
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing (Med-Surg) — night shift experience is a big plus
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or available
• Comfort working a 12+ hour night shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) in a fast-paced environment
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Positive teamwork attitude and excellent communication with patients and colleagues

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of med-surg patient care and common post-op/medical conditions
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy basics, and common procedures
• Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and manage multiple patients in a 1:5 ratio
• Good critical thinking, situational awareness, and escalation skills
