Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise overnight nursing staff and provide clinical leadership during the night shift
• Coordinate patient care and allocate resources to ensure safe, efficient operations
• Triage and escalate clinical issues, supporting bedside nurses with complex cases
• Lead shifts with clear communication to providers, ancillary services, and leadership
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, documentation standards, and quality metrics
• Assist with staffing adjustments, on-call coordination, and emergent staffing needs
• Mentor and support staff development by providing constructive feedback and guidance

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP preferred
• Proof of negative TB screening within 12 months of the contract start date
• Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and proven ability to lead in high-pressure situations

• Clinical leadership and team coordination
• Triage, assessment, and critical thinking in acute care settings
• Emergency response and escalation procedures
• Staff delegation, scheduling, and conflict resolution
• Clear, professional communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Knowledge of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement
