Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients during overnight shifts
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor clinical status throughout the shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the medical record
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
• Act promptly in emergencies, escalating concerns and following established protocols
• Support unit operations by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transitions of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligible for licensure
• Experience or comfort working in MST (Medical Surgical Telemetry) settings
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with overnight care experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Competent in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Patient-focused care planning and discharge coordination
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and escalate care needs effectively during overnight shifts
