Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs and changes in condition
• Communicate observations and care needs to the nursing team and families
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico or ability to obtain state certification
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks
• Strong communication skills and a caring, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient-handling techniques
• Skill in documenting care and reporting changes accurately
• Familiarity with basic vital sign measurement and infection prevention
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
