Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents on the unit
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, intervening promptly when changes occur
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans and transitions
• Document thorough, timely patient records and communicate updates to families and providers
• Educate patients and families about condition management and discharge planning
• Respond effectively to emergencies and participate in unit safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN or Travel LPN license appropriate for the role (as applicable)
• Recent clinical experience in a relevant acute or long-term care setting preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (facility may require additional certifications)
• Ability to complete facility onboarding requirements such as background check and immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking for acute and long-term care scenarios
• Safe medication administration and documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical record charting
• IV therapy and basic wound care knowledge
• Effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and clear caregiver communication
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
