Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum nursing care for birthing families
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret tracings to support safe deliveries
• Stabilize and support high-risk neonates and coordinate neonatal transfer when needed
• Triage patients presenting in labor or with obstetric concerns and prioritize care
• Assist with GYN surgical care and support perioperative needs as trained
• Deliver compassionate newborn care in the nursery and provide parent education
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-focused care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider level BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS and NRP certifications required
• Basic Fetal Monitoring skills required
• Experience in triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery required
• STABLE and prior neonatal stabilization experience preferred
• Comfort working nights and rotating weekends, with on-call responsibility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fetal monitoring and maternal-fetal assessment skills
• Neonatal stabilization and newborn resuscitation knowledge
• Skilled in triage decision-making and prioritizing emergent needs
• Experience with postpartum care and patient education for new parents
• Familiarity with GYN surgical care and perioperative nursing duties
• Effective communication, teamwork, and documentation in an electronic health record
