Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (as-needed), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Day shift (30-minute meal break)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) with dignity and compassion
Provide hands-on care and ensure patient safety during transfers and mobility
Measure and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the care team
Document care clearly and communicate effectively with nurses and families
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
Build trusting relationships with residents to promote comfort and emotional well-being

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
State registration/certification in New Mexico as applicable
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Comfortable providing hands-on assistance with ADLs and working 12+ hour day shifts
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative care team
Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED
CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs, assisting with transfers, observing patient condition
Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
Familiarity with documentation and basic charting
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
