Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and on-call as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Educate patients and families on respiratory disease processes, interventions, and discharge plans
Adapt to different units as needed to ensure continuity of care
Mentor junior staff and students, serving as a clinical role model
Plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care treatments to optimize patient health
Deliver physician-ordered respiratory care while maintaining clear communication with medical and nursing staff

Qualifications

Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
Valid Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner license
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field

Education

Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Expert patient assessment and care planning
Proficient in patient education and clinical documentation
Experience with Point Click EMR system
Strong critical thinking and adaptability
