Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients presenting to urgent care quickly and compassionately
• Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, wound care, and basic procedures
• Collaborate with providers and the care team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document assessments and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
• Support patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care environment and float to units as needed
• Escalate concerns and changes in patient condition to providers in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active RN license (California license strongly preferred or required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS a plus
• Urgent care or emergency nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable with triage, wound management, IV starts, and urgent procedures
• Ability to float across units and adapt to a block schedule
• MUST PROVIDE MBA AT TIME OF SUBMITTAL (as stated in the job details)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and assessment skills for urgent care presentations
• Proficient documentation and charting in an EMR
• Skilled in wound care, splinting, and basic urgent procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills under fast-paced conditions
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients safely
