Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being continuously, using clinical judgment to escalate concerns promptly
• Manage labor progression and perform cervical exams within your scope of practice
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips and coordinate with providers for optimal outcomes
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries and assist during births to ensure safety
• Administer medications and follow medication safety protocols
• Respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies and participate in team resuscitation efforts
• Provide postpartum education and emotional support to families during the birth experience
• Document patient care clearly and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license required
• Experience in Labor & Delivery required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Demonstrated skill in fetal monitoring interpretation and assisting deliveries
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to provide emotional support
