Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient functional abilities and develop individualized OT treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, and independence
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Document progress, outcomes and discharge planning in a timely and professional manner
• Provide education and training to patients, families and staff to support safe transitions
• Float between units as needed to meet patient and facility needs across shifts and days

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in New Hampshire, or eligibility to obtain NH licensure
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master’s or OTD preferred)
• Comfort and experience with float assignments across units and patient populations
• Ability to work a 13-week travel contract and provide coverage across all days of the week
• Strong documentation, communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Experience in skilled nursing/rehabilitation settings preferred

Education

• Master’s in Occupational Therapy or entry-level Doctorate (OTD) preferred
• Graduation from an accredited OT program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in functional assessments, ADL training, adaptive equipment recommendations
• Familiarity with treatment planning, outcome measurement and clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and adapt treatment approaches for diverse patients
• Good clinical reasoning, patient education and family/caregiver training skills
• Comfort working as a flexible floater and supporting varying unit needs
